Conducted statistical research, surveys, focus group interviews and discussions with industry experts; studied demographics and trends of computer manufacturers, end-users and comparative media; conceptualized format; selected name; recruited editorial and sales staff; designed marketing strategy e.g. direct mailers, newsstand promotions, free sample mailings with aggressive follow-up and long-term subscription discounts; developed advertising strategy; cemented technical collaboration with Ziff Davis Publishing (PC Magazine and PC World) for use of articles. â– Managed a team of 4 Regional Managers and 40 employees nationally to raise resources for the organization through 1000+ schools, fund-raising events, corporate donations, and press-appeals through corporate sponsorships/Ad Agencies/media sponsorships.
â– Introduced/Launched major direct mail fund-raising campaigns generating additional $1+ million to the resources.
â– Developed turnkey Direct Mailer strategy for NGOs to generate fund-raising for current and proposed projects.
â– Worked closely with a leading NGO, Child Relief & You (CRY), to create an effective Direct Mailer campaign - Identified historical subject areas with highest success rate; selected projects, storylines and included items for tactile experience; utilized of surveys and focus-groups; procured mass mailing lists fitting desired donor profiles; developed several mailers to ascertain acceptance; short-listed mailers for further penetration; expanded progressively; executed 'thank-you appeal' packs and 'follow-up appeal' packs at least 8 times annually to get repeat donations from 'first-time donors; computerized systems and procedures; trained staff to replicate process.
